Believe me when I say,

That falling in love was not in my agenda for today.

I planned to focus on myself, on my growth.

To be that girl who was content in her ‘season of singleness’

Then you showed up.

With so much audacity, boldness, confidence.

I couldn’t resist no matter how hard I tried to.

And you didn’t let me go no matter how much it seemed like I wanted to.

So thank you.

For making this heart to beat again

For giving me something to look forward to and hope for again.

For being my best friend, my companion, my lover.

It’s been the best feeling ever.

And all this long talk,

It’s really just to say;

I love you.

And I love how you love me.

I love how you make me smile and laugh.

I love how you’ve been a constant presence in my life even though it’s been for such a short while.

I love how you so confidently call me yours, even though we haven’t made things ‘official’ yet.

I’m having so much fun and I don’t want this to ever end.

I certainly can’t wait to do the rest of my life with you.

And I would love you, always and forever.
