It’s Okay To Take Your Time.
Where are you rushing to?
--
There’s a lot of pressure to accomplish a lot of ‘greatness’, especially when you’re young.
You’re done with undergraduate training and the next question is when is masters?
You finish NYSC and the next question is when are you getting married?
You get married? Then it’s when are you having kids.
You learn a skill and everyone automatically expects you to turn it into a multimillion dollar venture.
But what if you don’t want any of that right now?
What if you just want to take a break and breathe?
What if you want to take time off to figure out yourself and what you truly want?
It’s okay.
It’s okay to take your time.
Don’t rush to make decisions because you’re under pressure.
Don’t just move to a new city because it’s what everyone is doing.
Don’t just have kids because it’s supposed to be the next phase in life.
Figure out what you want, make bold and confident decisions.
And take it one step at a time.
You don’t have to figure everything out today.
Just breathe.
No pressure.
But then remember:
Life doesn’t stop moving, the clock doesn’t stop ticking.
Don’t just laze around while trying to figure things out.
Do a lot of research.
Build yourself up.
Be productive.
Gain new skills.
And then when you’re ready, you can move on to the next phase.
