Faith and Forex trading
Now I must first put as a disclaimer that I am not a Forex trader. This write up is based off what I’ve observed from a lot of forex traders.
It’s also important to note that I am a Christian and this is a faith based write up.
Now if you’re not put off by these disclaimers continue reading:
One thing I really love about God is how dynamic He is. He can’t be put in a box and He is not compelled to fit into our ideologies of Him. He is sovereign and He can use anything and anyone to teach you about Himself.
And in this case, God used forex traders to teach me some things.
Forex traders are admirable for many reasons, not just the amount of money they claim to make or they believe can be made or they actually make, but the amount of faith they have in their occupation.
So much faith that they usually want to teach people how to be financially independent for themselves.
- Forex traders want to help: they’ve found a golden opportunity and they want to help people to reach a level of financial independence. They have your best interest at heart. They don’t just want the money all to themselves. They’re willing to share it with you. And they’re always so excited about the concept of sharing and helping. They understand that just because they’re sharing with you doesn’t mean they can’t be as rich as they want to be. By doing this, follow a heavenly principle that giving would bring back more to them.
“Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full — pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back. ”” Luke 6:38 NLT
“Remember this — a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.” 2 Corinthians 9:6–8 NLT
2. Forex traders have a lot of faith: they’re 100% sure that the forex market is a gold mine. They believe so strongly that being a forex trader is the way to financial freedom. Sometimes they’ve not even attained the financial status they want to, but just from watching other people achieve it, their faith is strengthened. They have faith in the forex market wether or not they’ve personally experienced what it can do.
And sometimes, eventually, they do get to experience how financially rewarding the forex market can be.
“Now faith brings our hopes into reality and becomes the foundation needed to acquire the things we long for. It is all the evidence required to prove what is still unseen.” Hebrews 11:1 TPT
3. Forex traders work hard: they’re not just sitting down at a computer, and looking, they’re studying the money market. Trying to understand how it works. They practice on demo accounts, try to figure out formulas that work. They speak to professionals, take many classes. They’re very busy people. and eventually, when they master the craft, their hard work usually pays off.
“Do you see a man skillful and experienced in his work? He will stand [in honor] before kings; He will not stand before obscure men.” Proverbs 22:29 AMP
4. Forex traders are not afraid to fail: one thing that everyone knows about being a forex trader is the possibility of failure. And failure in forex trading usually leads to loss of grave amounts of money. But forex traders, focus on the very real possibilities of making a lot of money instead. They shift their eyes away from failure and focus on success. They’re not afraid of losing money. They embrace failure as part of growth and they strive to move forward even when they fail
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.” 2 Timothy 1:7 NLT
5. Forex traders evangelize: they’ve found a gold mine and they constantly spread the good news of this gold mine. They don’t care if people believe it or not, they just continue sharing information and encouraging people to hop on the forex ship. A few people believe in their message and there’s always great rejoicing when someone joins in. Most laugh or scorn or doubt them, but this doesn’t discourage them. You don’t have to believe their truth, but it is their truth and they’d keep on sharing. Wether you believe or not does not change what they believe is the truth.
“And then he told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone.” Mark 16:15 NLT
I’ve learnt life lessons from forex traders. I’m not on the forex trading train though. Would I ever join? Who knows?
